Terms of Use

PubLNX provides a centralized online marketplace where researchers, physicians, and other qualified professionals (“Researchers”) can post active or unfinished research projects, and where students or trainees (“Students”) may browse and apply to participate. The Platform is designed to facilitate communication and collaboration between researchers and students.

PubLNX does not participate in or oversee the content of posted projects, the application process, or the resulting collaborations. All interactions, agreements, or outcomes between users are the sole responsibility of those users.

The Platform is not designed to store, transmit, or protect personal health information (PHI), proprietary data, trade secrets, or any other form of sensitive or confidential information.

• Users must not include PHI, confidential data, or proprietary information in project postings, messages, or any other use of the Platform.
• Project postings should use only general descriptions of the research or role requirements.
• All discussions of PHI, proprietary, or sensitive information must occur exclusively through institution-approved, secure communication channels, not through PubLNX.
• Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

By using the Platform, you agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
• Provide accurate, non-misleading information in postings, applications, and communications.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, and notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
• Refrain from fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful conduct on the Platform.

Researchers are solely responsible for ensuring that project postings and student interactions comply with institutional and regulatory requirements. Students are solely responsible for ensuring that their applications, participation, and communications comply with institutional and academic policies.

Currently, access to the Platform is provided at no cost to institutions, researchers, and students for the core functionality of posting and applying to projects. PubLNX may, at its discretion, introduce fees in the future for institutions, researchers, or students.

If fees are introduced:

• Institutions and users will be notified in advance of any applicable charges.
• Students will always have a free method to search for and apply to research projects.
• Optional, value-added features may be offered for an additional fee.

If you choose to purchase optional features or services, you agree to provide accurate and complete payment information (such as credit card details or other payment credentials). Payments will be processed through third-party payment processors. PubLNX does not directly store or process your full payment card information. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account.

For any future paid services:

• Subscription or one-time fees for optional features are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
• Users may cancel future recurring payments at any time by managing their account settings or contacting support.
• Specific refund or cancellation terms applicable to a service will be communicated prior to purchase.

You agree to maintain professionalism and respect in all interactions on the Platform. Content that is abusive, defamatory, misleading, spam-like, or otherwise inappropriate may be removed at our discretion.

PubLNX reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards or our policies.

By registering, you consent to receive transactional emails from PubLNX (e.g., account notices, project updates, policy changes). You may opt out of non-essential communications (such as newsletters or feature announcements) at any time.

The Platform may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, payment processing, or communication. PubLNX is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or security practices of these providers. Users should review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party services they engage with through the Platform.

PubLNX does not:

• Guarantee that any student will be selected for or benefit from a posted project.
• Guarantee that any research project will be completed, successful, or accurate.
• Endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content of any project postings, applications, or communications.

All reliance on information posted on the Platform is at the user’s own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• PubLNX is not liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to damages related to data breaches, misuse of information, failed collaborations, or disputes between users.
• The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PubLNX LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:

• Your use of the Platform;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right.

The Platform, including its design, software, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is the property of PubLNX LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of the content they submit but grant PubLNX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit such content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

PubLNX may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or use the Platform in a way that could harm PubLNX, its users, or third parties.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

PubLNX may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
